In a day full of incredible hunter competition, three names stood apart as winners of major classes on Wednesday, October 2. These impressive victories went to Amanda Steege and Lafitte de Muze, owned by Cheryl Olsten, in the $50,000 World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) Professional Challenge, presented by The Gochman Family and the John R. Ingram Fund; Ryan Kenny riding Outshine, owned by Michael Britt-Leon in the $10,000 WCHR Developing Pro Challenge, presented by the John R. Ingram Fund; and Nick Haness with Odette, owned by John & Stephanie Ingram LLC, in the $25,000 KASK/Vogel Green Hunter 3’ & 3’3” North American Championship, presented by The Wheeler Family
Cassandra Kahle Claims WCHR Pro Challenge Win at Capital Challenge Horse Show
Upper Marlboro, MD – October 2, 2019 – In her first year of competing in the class, young professional Cassandra Kahle of Langley, British Columbia, rode Monday Balous to capture the top prize in the $30,000 World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) Professional Challenge, sponsored by The Gochman Family, at the Capital Challenge Horse Show (CCHS) on Wednesday, October 2.
Tracy Fenney and MTM Outbid Are Tops in $25,000 WCHR Professional Challenge at Capital Challenge Horse Show
Upper Marlboro, MD – Professional hunter riders highlighted the schedule on Wednesday at the Capital Challenge Horse Show, presented by World Equestrian Center. Tracy Fenney and MTM Outbid were victorious in the $25,000 WCHR Professional Challenge, sponsored by The Gochman Family. In the $5,000 WCHR Developing Pro Challenge, sponsored by the John R. Ingram Fund, Dominique Damico and Rockette took the top spot. The Capital Challenge Horse Show, held at the Prince George's Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD, runs through Sunday, October 8.
Scott Stewart and Catch Me Repeat WCHR Pro Challenge Victory at Capital Challenge Horse Show
The Capital Challenge Horse Show, presented by World Equestrian Center, continued on Wednesday evening with two major classes for professional riders. Repeating their 2015 victory, Scott Stewart and Catch Me won the $25,000 WCHR World Champion Hunter Rider (WCHR) Professional Challenge, presented by The Gochman Family. In the $5,000 WCHR Developing Professional Challenge, presented by the John R. Ingram Fund, Amber Henter rode Si Bene to the win.
Scott Stewart Continues Win Streak at Capital Challenge Horse Show Taking WCHR Pro Challenge Aboard Catch Me
With a full day of outstanding amateur and professional hunter competition, the 2015 Capital Challenge Horse Show (CCHS), presented by Well Placed Smile, recognized the first Grand Champion combinations, alongside the preliminary World Champion Hunter Rider (WCHR) Challenge classes. A highlight of the afternoon was the captivating Future Hunter North American Championship presented by the Wheeler Family and Cismont Manor Farm, which crowned the most gifted young hunter combinations in the country. Capital Challenge Horse Show continues with WCHR Challenge classes including the WCHR Pro Finals at 7pm on Friday, October 2, and will conclude on Sunday, October 4.
Third Time’s A Charm For French and Small Affair in $25,000 WCHR Professional Challenge
The Capital Challenge Horse Show, presented by The Gochman Family, featured the best hunters in the country as well as up-and-coming talent in both horses and riders. The day was full of competition, but the highlight class was the $25,000 WCHR Professional Challenge. John French took home the win for the third time in class history on Small Affair.
